THE COVENANT
ABOUT THE COVENANT
The Covenant is an agreement aimed at fostering cooperation, unity, and shared governance among guilds. Rooted in the principles of honor, justice, and protection of the realm, this treaty seeks to establish a collaborative environment that transcends individual guilds, promoting inclusivity and a sense of unity.
The Covenant is composed of two interrelated aspects:
The Peace Treaty and The Sanctum Initiative.
(Guild’s can be apart of both or just one.)
We want to mention that The Covenant is respecting the diverse preferences of participating guilds and communities. While fostering a collaborative environment, the treaty does not focus on roleplay elements, allowing guilds to engage based on their own preferences and playstyles.
The peace treaty
The Peace Treaty is a coalition of guilds working together toward common goals while maintaining their individuality. It’s not an in-game alliance but rather a cooperative agreement designed to promote collaboration and mutual benefit.
How it works:
Council Representation:
Each guild in the Treaty chooses up to three representatives—a Guild Leader and two Ambassadors. Together, these representatives form the Council, but each guild has only one vote on decisions to keep things fair.
Opportunities for Cooperation:
Guilds in the Treaty can propose initiatives like:
Organizing trade agreements
Joining forces for wars or defense
Hosting cooperative events
Coordinating caravan escorts (both offensive and defensive)
These proposals are discussed and decided by the Council, where all members have an equal say.
The Vision:
The Peace Treaty aims to create a supportive environment where guilds can share resources, work together on major goals, and coexist peacefully across the map. It’s about building strong relationships and a community focused on collaboration rather than competition.
Though these will all be subject to open debate and consensus among Council members.
Council Members will consist of 1 guild lead and 2 Ambassadors of your choosing. Each guild will then have 3 representatives though only 1 vote as a whole.
The sanctum initiative
The Vision :
The Sanctum Initiative is a collaborative node project where allied guilds come together to build and develop as one unified community. While The Divine Order may take on the responsibility of leadership and mayoral duties, the vision and success of the node are shared equally among all participating guilds. Decisions within the Initiative are shaped by the collective ideas, contributions, and shared responsibilities of every guild involved. The goal is to create a thriving and inclusive node, where the wealth and benefits are distributed fairly, ensuring all supporters feel valued and essential to its success.
Here is what The Sanctum Initiative has to offer so far.
Divine Coastal Node (TBD)
Chamberlain Priority for Freeholds
Patron Guild Priority (TBD)
Host Node wide Events
Religious Progression
Ship/Caravan Building & Escorts
How it works:
The Grand Chamber is the governing body of the Sanctum Initiative, uniting representatives (Chamberlains) from all participating guilds to collaboratively shape the node’s future. Each guild, including The Divine Order, may appoint up to two Chamberlains to contribute to discussions, decisions, and initiatives that reflect the shared vision and values of the coalition.
We are only accepting 2 Chamberlains per guild to prevent too many voices per discussion.
FAQ
Will this take up an alliance slot in game?
– No, though you may ask other guilds involved if they would like to. Please note that the Peace Treaty is more loosely committed to.
How big are we planning on making this Covenant?
– We plan to make this community Tight-Knit. Every current member will vote on if the next guild that wants in, gets in or not. So not every guild that exists will be receiving an invite. Though, we still want this to make an impact on whatever server we decide on joining. So, TBD.
Is The Sanctum Initiative and Peace Treaty the same thing?
– No, they are 2 different Pacts. You can choose to be a part of 1 or both. It’s up to you & your guild.
How committed do I have to be to request help from others?
– We will prefer that you at least participate occasionally by aiding those who request assistance from either pact you’re committed to.
How committed do I have to be to either agreement?
– As committed as you feel necessary. Though do realize everyone will and can judge your commitment and effort towards either agreement and as a whole, come to a meeting debating your status as a member of The Covenant.
If either of these proposals interests you and would like to talk about potentially joining in, then click “The Covenant” button to join the discord for it.
The only requirement when joining is that you are an Ambassador for your guild or the Guild Leader.
